An Early Christmas at Disney World :) + A Pin!

For those who feel like getting into the Christmas Spirit a bit early, you’ll be happy to know that a special Christmas Ornament of Duffy has been appearing in Downtown Disney.

(Thanks to this auction for the picture)

It costs about 9 dollars and is around the same size as the keychains and magnets 🙂 It is pretty early for Christmas but considering there is the “Disney’s Days Of Christmas” Store, a store that is Christmas themed all year around, it’s not too surprising 🙂

There also seems to be a special rare Duffy-Sorcerer Cap pin that was released early in the year. I’d recommend keeping an eye out for if you like pins!:

Duffy appearing in TDS’ Christmas Show + Lots of new stuff confirmed!

If you have enjoyed “My Freiend Duffy”, you will be happy to know that Duffy will be appearing in Tokyo Disney Sea’s new Christmas Show: Christmas Wrapped in Ribbon. So, if you can, be sure to check it out! Tokyo Disney’s shows are amazing as is so Duffy should be quite a delight to see 🙂

On top of that, it has been confirmed that roughly 30 different kinds of merchandise for Duffy and Shellie May will be coming out for Christmas (and probably New Year as well). Before anyone panics, remember it WON’T be JUST costumes and will probably feature special treats and goodies too.

(Special thanks to DuffyDaisuki for the translation. Be sure to check the topic for more detailed info on Christmas Wrapped in Ribbon!)

RUMOR: Shellie May coming to the US sooner than expected?

A rumor going around now is that Shellie May (Written Shellie Mae in some official places–whether that will be how it’s written here or not is unknown) will be coming out in the US this Holiday Season (And if not this Holiday Season, early next year!). As it’s only a rumor, there is no definitive say that this is true.

Personally, I think a lot of people would be happy if Shellie May was sold here, however, I am surprised they are doing it so quickly after bringing Duffy over. I do hope that means he has been selling well and they plan on doing more with him though.

Anyway, on the subject, a new poll:

And also a poll based off our last entry:

New merchandise at Tokyo Disney!

For those of you who really enjoyed the little t-shirts, you’ll definitely enjoy these new little hoodies–they definitely are a bit more unique with lots of different designs (which makes it more of a reason to want them all) and of course, also come with different charms. They are 1,800 Yen each.

They also brought the cute bags (still 500 Yen) back:

For those who aren’t big on the smaller Duffy and Shellie May, there’s something for you too! …However, it costs quite a bit. The new Cannery Clothing Co.–made by Minnie based off actual Cape Cod styles. Each costs 8,900 Yen. They are rumored to have a seasonal schedule of Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter (so 4 (2 each) within a years time). They seem to be high-end special outfits (and hopefully not the new standard price), thus the much higher cost. They are not limited, but will only be sold until they are all gone. They will come in a special bag and will most likely sell out quickly.

While the price is steep, they definitely seem to come with a lot.

Duffy – Hat, Bow Tie, Shirt, Pants, Jacket, and Shoes
Shellie May – Bow, Dress, Jacket, Pants, Shoes

I really love Shellie May’s Dress and Jacket most of all. Followed by Duffy’s Jacket, Shirt, and Pants…then probably his hat. Regardless, I just…can’t afford paying that kind of price, unfortunately 🙁

Anyway, for pictures of the other little hoodies… (more…)

Tokyo Disney’s Meet & Greet :)

Well, it shouldn’t be any surprise that with Duffy all ready to meet others in full Halloween spirit here in the US, that he’d be ready in Tokyo Disney as well 😀

Even the photo insert has been updated with a new Halloween look too 🙂

A Duffy for a Good Cause

Earlier this week was the Heart Walk at the Florida Hospital. Disney Voluntears showed up and the first 500 received a special gift–a Duffy in a Disney Voluntear Shirt (and a duffel bag, appropriately enough!):

(Photos thanks to Ernie Cornish and Josina Hooks)

I think that was a super nice gift 🙂 And those shirts are so cute!

Our first fanart submission :)

A friend of mine made a few icons using this:

The results:

I think they’re really cute! Though, I can’t decide which I like best…

Duffy’s Pumpkin Patch

Over in Disney Land’s California Adventure (at Paradise Pier), Duffy’s Meet & Greet spot has been completely redone for Halloween in the Pumpkin Patch Make-over that had been previously mentioned.

(Photos thanks to Loren Javier’s Flickr! Be sure to check it out for even MORE photos! 🙂 )

It looks really beautiful. I can’t wait to see what they do at the Friendship Gazebo in Epcot. I wonder if they will change the story that leads up to the meeting of Duffy along the path at all.

Hong Kong Disney’s first Exclusive + More in October than we thought?

For those of you who primarily go to Hong Kong Disney or easily can do so, you’ll be happy to know that Duffy has a special Halloween costume there 🙂

(Thanks to Hong Kong Disney’s Official Website! Be sure to check out their other Spooky Souvenirs*! :D)
A bigger version of the outfit:

It looks like it’s just a shirt and hat and is similar to the Japanese costumes, but also shows quite a few differences. The outfit is for full-sized Duffy. Here are the Japanese costumes for comparison:

(Thank you again to Nana’s Dear Collection 😀 She is awesome)

There is a chance that there are bottoms, similar to Tokyo Disney’s 2009 Duffy (Left picture) that just can’t be seen. As for differences, the hat is completely different–it looks like the US hat and Tokyo Disney hat were combined. As for the shirt, the differences are not as apparent, but the collar is blunter with cute little orange stitching near the edges. It seems the ends of the sleeves have more green too, but it’s hard to tell. When bigger pictures come up, I’ll be sure to edit them into this post 🙂

So, what do you think about Hong Kong getting it’s first exclusive costume? I have mixed feelings. It is a good thing considering the Exclusives around the parks anyway…but I just hate exclusives. I hate the word in itself XD I really do want to go to Hong Kong Disney one day regardless though (Only park I have yet to go to as I have nobody to go with 🙁 ), but I kind of wish things could just be united. Everything is special, but I hate seeing things get so inflated. :/

Anyway, to end this, while answering a question on the official Disney Parks blog, Steven Miller posted this at the end of one of his comments: “And October will be an exciting time for Duffy. Stay tuned…”

Now, already we know a lot of new costumes are coming out, along with Duffy wearing his Halloween outfit to be greeted with and appearing at Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party. However, the statement made me feel there may even be more than just that. The question is…what?

*totally not Duffy related, but Zero and those little Pumpkins are so cute. (and of course Duffy is, but that’s kind of stated with the entry anyway)
